Paving the way for a new standard in affordable social housing, Bob & Michael’s Place is more than just a home; it's a community where tenants can live and thrive. Located in the heart of the city, it provides unparalleled convenience and connectivity to the best of what Vancouver has to offer.

Eligibility Requirements

    • 1 bedroom suites or smaller: maximum annual household income $58,000

    • 2 bedroom suites: maximum annual household income $72,000

  • Pass asset and income review as required by BC Housing

  • All residents must be capable of independent living; medical or physical supports not available.

    • Live or work in the Downtown Eastside (comprised of Chinatown, Gastown, Industrial Area, Oppenheimer District, Strathcona, Thornton Park, and Victory Square).

    • Express interest in living in a community-minded building.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bob & Michael’s Place is completed and accepting tenancy applications! Residents will move in starting June 2024.

  • The main difference between these units is rent pricing. All affordable units will be rented at 30% or less of the maximum Housing Income Limits (HILs) amount, while all subsidized units will be rented according to shelter allowance. All units in the building have been built the same. Both follow the same application process.

  • Yes, each household may have one cat.
